This course will
be a survey of the major diseases on trees and woody plants of importance in
the United States. It will emphasize the major pathogens affecting roots,
stems, foliage, and seeds and the recommended control strategies for each.
The course will provide a holistic perspective on tree and woody plant
diseases so that students will know not only how to identify and control
these diseases but also how control strategies integrate with other
practices in the arena of forest management.

EXAM SCHEDULE
Four 25-minute exams are scheduled, each of which will be worth100 points.
The lowest of the four exam grades will be dropped. A missed exam will be
counted as the dropped exam. There will be no comprehensive final exam.
